The temple, built at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries, is today an interesting combination of architecture from different eras. The nave made of granite blocks, the presbytery ending with a semicircular apse and the tower with stairs leading to the gallery are souvenirs from Romanesque times. The church was probably rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 15th century, when it was raised to the rank of a collegiate church. In the 16th century, a Renaissance chapel of St. was added to the temple. Barbara. Decorated with rustic graffiti and topped with an attic, the chapel is the work of the Italian architect Giovanni Battista di Quadro . Inside there is a two-story, wall-mounted tombstone of Jan and his son, Janusz Głos, from 1559, one of the most beautiful of its type in Poland. In the 19th century, an addition was added to the temple, modeled on the chapel of St. Barbara, the neo-Renaissance chapel of St. John the Evangelist (currently the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus).
