A peaceful village, a merry village, one could say while visiting the Kuyavian-Dobrzyn Ethnographic Park. In Kłóbka, a picturesque Kuyavian settlement located among hills, forests and lakes, an old traditional village has been recreated. Old cottages with home gardens full of blooming mallows, sunflowers and phloxes, the smell of herbs wafting around and the buzzing of bees coming from straw hives... This is a place where time has stopped. Here you can take a look at the barn, see what the miller's work was like in the old windmill, or the inn where the overworked commune looked for entertainment. There is also a village school where kneeling on a pea will experience the traditional punishment for unruly pupils, a church and even a fire station. Nearby you will discover the local craftsmen's workshops - a blacksmith's shop, an oil mill and a pottery.
In the nearby park, by the Lubieńka River, you can see the 19th-century Orpiszewski family manor house, the interiors of which faithfully recreate the atmosphere of the former landowners' residence. It was here that Maria Wodzińska Orpiszewska, Frederic Chopin's youthful love, lived.
