  • Address: ks. Sychowskiego 22, Śliwice
At the church in Śliwice. Saint Catherine of Alexandria is the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. It was created in 1908, on the fiftieth anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin Mary in the Grotto of Massabielle , in a French city at the base of the Pyrenees. Its initiator was Fr. Stanisław Sychowski - the then administrator of the local parish, who brought a constructor from distant Bavaria to build it. From the beginning of its construction, the Śliwice grotto became a place of worship for the local faithful. It is also worth visiting the local parish cemetery with a set of historic tombstones, the architectural elements of which refer to symbolic Christian content - the insignificance and impermanence of earthly life, the hope of resurrection and eternal life. They are an example of small, unique sepulchral architecture.
