“Lake Rakutowskie" nature reserve was created to protect the largest lake in the Gostynin Lake District and adjacent areas with characteristic plant communities and habitats of many rare bird species. The shores of the lake are covered with wide reed beds, cattails and blackweed. In the drier foreland there is the paniculate spikelet, which is rare in this part of the country. Rushes cover over 100 ha and constitute an important element of the landscape. The reserve is a waterfowl sanctuary entered into the register of areas valuable for birds in Poland and Europe. Many species have found safe breeding places here and excellent conditions for feeding and resting during spring and autumn migrations. In autumn, you can observe crane assemblies taking place near the lake. The ideal place to observe birds in their natural habitat is the viewing platform located near the village of Krzewent. Don't forget to take your binoculars with you????
