Mining Village - a living museum in Bory Tucholskie. We take care of, explore and make accessible to tourists the only underground lignite mines in northern Poland. In the Mining Village you will learn the unique history of lignite mining, you will taste miner's food and spend time in the beautiful surroundings of Bory Tucholskie and the atmosphere of a village transporting you back to the 19th century. The miners' food is prepared traditionally by the Country Housewives' Association and refers to the period when the mines were in operation. Among other things, you can taste ‘steiger’s’ pork neck and ‘Silesian and Bory pork roll with noodles and red cabbage". You are most welcome.
